In the spring of 1980, a group of passionate believers came together with a vision to create a church centered on the freedom found in Christ. They named this church Liberty, and on May 18th, the first service was held in a small storefront on State Avenue. Determined to grow and reach more people, the founders acquired 4 acres of land and built the first Liberty campus. As the years passed, the campus expanded to nearly 9 acres, but the heart of the church never wavered – to share the transformative love of Jesus with the world. Today, we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and look to the future with excitement as we strive to make a greater impact in our community and beyond. Liberty – it’s not just a name, it’s our reason for being.
